The translator is majoring in Modern French Literature at the Université Paris 3 Sorbonne-Nouvelle. He has studied both French and English languages and literature since he was a child. He received the International Baccalauréat (American section) in 2011, which allows him to seamlessly translate from French to English, and English to French. Tom’s Journey is his first experience in translation. He is excited to be able to act as a bridge between Tom’s family and the people of the pays de Bitche, which he will undoubtedly visit someday.
Le traducteur est un jeune étudiant en Master de Lettres Modernes à l’Université Paris 3 Sorbonne-Nouvelle. Né d’un père français et d’une mère américaine, il apprend le français à l’école et l’anglais avec sa mère. Il est titulaire d’un Baccalauréat Option Internationale (section américaine), ce qui lui permet de traduire indifféremment de l’anglais au français et du français à l’anglais. Tom’s Journey est son premier travail de traduction.
